Be still my heart

1:10 just spoke with the surgeo. Jacob is in recovery now. Everything went very well. The surgeon is pleased with the corrections he made. They also only used my blood which means they didn't need extra ( not sure exactly how much he lost). We see him in ICU in one hour. Just grabbing some food at the moment.

Lord give me strength for the moment when I get to see him! Now James and I switch... He is the calm one and I am the nervous nelly.

  3. Thx for posting! You know me, when it comes to you! I will be so relieved after you see him. Im hoping you will find that the most challenging was to 'surrender' him (great word choice, btw) and that seeing him, though challenging, will bring comfort and relief in that moment. I knew everything would be ok, but what I've been praying for since the night (of course I was up all night! Just like when you had him!) was that you can find strength and comfort in those first moments, knowing at least one chapter is behind you. A special hug to James from me for being your rock right now. You're a great dad and husband James!

  4. I am overwhelmed with all the phone calls and emails I am getting today from our family and friends.
Everybody sends you best wishes and positive thoughts.
I am glad the worst part is over. I can imagine the good feeling to be with Jacob again.
Every day will be better now.
You both are strong and doing a good job!
    with love,
    Mama and Tata

  5. So relieved on your behalf that the surgery is over. By now you have probably had the chance to see your sweet little boy and and perhaps even hold or touch him. That will be a moment you will never forget. It is wonderful that the surgery is a success and now you can look towards recovery. What strength you all have (Jacob included)!!
I also wanted to say a word to the Korzycki family while I am here. Monica is so fortunate to have such kind, loving, and supportive family as you. It is on your strength that her and James are able to rest and pull through such a tough situation. You guys are the best! This is not the first time I found myself saying I wish I could be a part of the Korzycki family. Such a lovely bunch of people. Much love to all of you, Martha, Tata & Mama (and others!).

  6. Wonderful news. I hope you get the chance to take some time and just relax a slight bit now that the biggest hurdle has been completed.

Please give Jacob a big kiss from me when you're able.

    Much love to you all.

Thank God for bringing Jacob through this trying time. We are relieved that it is finally over and he is now on the road to recovery. We are so proud of you James and Monica. Your strength is an inspiration to us all. Jacob is a very lucky boy to have you both in his corner fighting for him.
