6:30pm We got a lot done today. Head drain came out (phew), CT scan completed (no anaesthetic this time!), and blood drawn. Jacob was a trooper. His left eye got very swollen but he can still open it. The swelling seems to be holding which is a good sign. Hopefully from here the swelling will start to decrease.
We got some playfol kicks this evening and two slight slight smiles. He is slowly coming around.
Time tomeat something and then I am taking a nap. Ive been up since 2am at this point.
Docs now say discharge probably Sat.
Monica, you sound tired. Try and get some well deserved rest. Sounds like Jacob will be his old self again soon. Staying the extra day is probably a good thing for all concerned.
ReplyDeleteThe extra day is a good thing. Its one more day under the team's supervision to take advantage of. I know resting probably isn't much of an option right now, so just try to eat balanced and stay hydrated if possible! Look after yourself. You too James. Again, another day closer. Xo.
